XBOX Game Camp 2026
Orbital Fish Delivery is a little game about shooting fish from outer space onto the earth. During the descent you have to dodge lost fishing gear and plastic pollution. If you manage to get fish onto the planet, local communities that rely on fish can be helped. The message of this game is pretty clear. Overfishing causes a sever strain on fish population which local communities rely on.

My Work

Game Design:
Game Design was mostly a team effort. Though writing down the ideas, keeping everything organized and making sure that in the end we would arrive at solutions that are fun but also in scope was my role.
Art:
I started with making the main character of the game. The differently coloured fish. It was really fun modeling, texturing and animating them.
Additionally, I made the various obstacles that fly in space, the banners, thumbnails and the little illustration of the happy family with their big catch.

Our Team

What went well:
This team structure worked really well. We chose the theme "Outgrow Hunger" which was presented in special collaboration with Roots & Pixels, Games for Change and The World Food Programme.. We immediately started brainstorming on this theme which led us to shooting fish out of a cannon from space. Having a solo dev was really nice for this project as it allowed us to keep it small, focus on the core gameplay & even being able to playtest this. I am very happy to say that we won 1st place in the jury vote for the theme Outgrow Hunger.
What I learned:
The delay of implementation of sound created a lot of stress and we weren't able to implement every sound effect sadly. Otherwise I think we did pretty well!
